I’m Bob Alexandropoulos, a UX Designer & Digital Art Director. Outsiders is my personal studio. I have studied Graphic Design and Digital Communication. I work in a whole range of projects from print advertising & promotional activities, to online Web Design and User Experience Design (UXD). Writing and providing content, is another passion of mine.
The Philosophy
Starting the process for a new design project, is like discovering a whole new world. Exploring a new idea is always exciting! Then, moving on to evaluating your findings and believing into the realization, and visualization of your ideas, becomes the basis of your creative ambitions. Then, you reach the point where you can see the end result, like Michelangelo would see his statues hidden within the marble block, way before he started carving them. The “rules” have been set. Balance and harmony provide the solution offered by the process itself. It is the creative “Voyage”, has lead you to your destination…
The Beginning
01. Explore
When you first commit to a project, you need to get to know the subject. Researching is the beginning of the design process. It is also very interesting, as one gets exposed to things that would otherwise be left out of the spectrum. In this sense, it helps evolve one’s character through the multitude of the interactions deemed necessary.
The Learning
02. Believe
Research helps you discover amazing new things. All this information at your disposal, leads to ideas for your project. Selecting and believing in your ideas, triggers all shorts of creativity. Taking into account the client’s and the user’s needs is fundamental. Sometimes it is even necessary to take the risk, the “leap of faith” and go for it all the way. Originality and effort usually pay off with inspiration and success!
The Solving
03. Create
You will be inspired even from the most simple moments in life. Finding them and opening their little world, will introduce you to creativity! Take a walk at the local market. Read a book. Have a coffee at the café around the block. Interact, watch, learn, create… The path has already been laid and the grid is set up for the optimum solution to the initial design problem.
